Alaska Airlines new maintenance hangar (2017-2018)
Located on the east side of the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, the new hangar is located about a half mile from Alaska's existing 37,500-square-foot facility. When complete, Alaska's new hangar will measure 105,000 square feet, twice as big as Alaska's existing Anchorage maintenance hangar. The new hangar will be able to house two 737-Max 9 aircraft, which will be the longest/widest plane in the carrier's fleet.
Municiple light & Power Plant 2 Expansion (2014-2016)
A$300 million overhaul of their power plant in East Anchorage. The expansion aims to increase efficiency, reliability and environmental quality by replacing old technology. Because the plant is collocated with the city's water supply, ML&P can achieve additional efficiencies. During peak construction there were up to 300 contractor personnel on the project.
Conoco-phillips cd-5 nigliq channel bridge
The Nigliq Channel Bridge is a 1,421-foot vehicle bridge across the Nigliq Channel of the Colville River. Access to the site from existing infrastructure can only be provided in winter months via ice roads. Therefore, the bridge was "launched" during fall months to allow construction to occur during the off-season and to meet overall schedule.
