QA Services, Inc. is an Alaskan owned and operated company providing fully qualified nondestructive and destructive inspection, consulting, industrial inspection and quality surveillance and assurance services. Our detailed services include assembly, welding, special inspections, quality control plan review and development, and industrial coatings for all facets of steel buildings, bridges, tanks, pipelines and steel structures at both shop and field locations.
Our inspection personnel are qualified and/or certified to National Standards, i.e. ASTM E329 & E543, AWS, ASNT, API, AWWA, NACE, ICBO/IBC, etc. All of our equipment is calibrated and certified to National Standards. Reports are normally furnished at the time of inspection; however reports will be (re)submitted with invoicing for time verification. We've provided over 100+ clients with welding procedures ranging from ASME to AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5 Bridge Code, and even underwater AWS D3.6.
Project Consultation
With so many different codes, specifications, and construction documents; it's easy to overlook an inspection requirement, welding symbol, or a welding procedure requirement. We offer project consulting services to help you manage the structural steel and welding inspection portion of your project.
NACE certified coatings inspections
The majority of NACE coating inspections we provide are industrial blasting and coating projects including failure forensics on bridges, tanks, pipelines and structural steel. We have been responsible for all bridge rehabilitation coating inspections for the State of Alaska DOT for the last 12 years. We also conduct blasting and coating inspections on API 650 tanks, water storage reservoirs, sewage clarifiers on concrete, pipelines, etc. for private and public entities. We can also provide blasting and coating specifications as well as review on each new project we acquire.
Special inspection services
All of our inspectors are Municipality of Anchorage certified special inspectors. We can provide you with a full range of inspections as it pertains to structural steel and IBC requirements. Services offered include but are not limited to: onsite in-process welding inspections, periodic inspections, high-strength bolt qualification and testing, onsite NDE, and more.
